Middle school/high school Core skills lab
Mr. Bylski

Hi, my name is Mr. Bylski. Welcome to Core Skills Lab! This is my third year as a special education teacher at Hope of Detroit Academy. This year I will be teaching a daily class with the students on my caseload. The focus of the Core Skills Lab will be to give even more support to students in their core academic classes. This is a great opportunity to help my students become even more successful!

SMall group testing

Students will receive small group testing for their core academic classes which will provide them with accommodations to give them the most opportunity for success.

Focus on technology

The class will utilize chromebooks with intuitive programs such as Read Naturally and Learning Ally to give students resources they can use and enjoy.

Collaborative Environment

I will be collaborating with the general education teachers to create my lessons, as well as staying on top of current grades and areas of achievement.

Needs based

Much of the curriculum will be based on student individual needs which will ensure the class becomes an optimal learning environment geared towards comprehension of core academic concepts.
